Consistent, Stable, Long-term Dependable Corn Buyers Who Want to Partner With Local
Growers
The first thing you probably want to know about MaxYield is that
our money is good.
We've been in business for 95 years, and during that time we've grown into a
financially solid and consistently profitable company. When you get a check or contract from us, you can bank on it.
The second thing you can count on us for is
dependable, consistent corn bids.
We represent the end user of your corn—an ethanol plant with a consistent demand for your product. That means we can and will actively seek solutions for your corn—as far out as two years into the future.
More importantly, it means
faster pay with no middleman. If you want to get paid each day instead of once a week, we're happy to do it.
And the last thing you'll want to know is that we've always partnered with independent farmers, throughout our 95-year history. Our Iowa co-op has growers who represent the third generation of family members selling to us, and selling to us almost exclusively.
We're new to Riga, and frankly, we look forward to working in—and learning from—the very aggressive eastern market. But we're not new to corn and we hope to bring a fresh perspective to the table as a buyer for local area farmers.
What that means to you in the short term is
consistent and fair delivery procedures and a preference for working with local farmers. In fact, we have
recently hired Barb Kunkle to work closely with all of our independent growers.
Not only will you have a specific point of contact to call, but someone ready to call you for coordinating deliveries, communicating any plant maintenance or operational work-arounds, etc. Partnering with you means investing in—and insisting on—
better communication for you, the grower, and we're doing that through our relationship with Barb.
We know
you'll find far greater transparency and communication from us when selling your corn to MaxYield and delivering it to the Riga plant.
Why and how we're working with Green Plains Renewable Energy's ethanol plant
We were invited in by Global Ethanol, the former owners of the plant, so that they could concentrate more fully on running the plant as efficiently and profitably as possible, while we handled sourcing corn for the plant.
We have provided essentially the same service at the feed mill in Hobarton, Iowa for 15 years and at the ethanol plant in Lakota, Iowa since 2002. We currently source nearly 67 million bushels of corn per year, both for Ethanol plants and feed mills. So MaxYield not only has a
demonstrated history of success at sourcing corn for ethanol plants, but also a successful history working with Global Ethanol, and now Green Plains Renewable Energy.
In other words, we simply knew beyond a doubt that we could provide value to both the plant and the local farmers, while improving the quality of corn for Ethanol operations.
Our arrangement with Green Plains dictates that
all bids, contracts, and checks for corn are signed and backed by MaxYield exclusively, insulating both the farmers and the plant from risk.
